muffin tin tuesday?

Well, Sophia asked (begged) for Muffin Tin Tuesday tonight and, because it was our house cleaning night, I happily obliged. Unfortunately, I desperately need to do some grocery shopping so there are some repeats from last night.

Top: pepperoni, sugar snap peas, turkey dog, peach yogurt
Middle: organic cereal bar. mushrooms, cheddar cheese, tomatoes
Bottom: clementine oranges, multi-grain pasta, edamame, organic oatmeal cookies

Tomorrow we will sit down at the table and eat a "real" meal off "real" plates.

muffin tin monday

Top row: edamame, mushrooms, hummus, clementine oranges
Middle row: tomatoes, multi-grain pasta, cheese, yogurt
Bottom row: vegetable crackers, pepperoni, turkey, grapes

This is what the kids had for dinner tonight and it was a hit! I got the idea from a mommy blog that I frequent. Sophia helped me prepare everything and her dinner blues soon turned to pure excitement. Both kids ate really well and it was fun for all. Just a little way to spice things up!

I'm back!

I absolutely adore this photo. Such a beautiful daddy/daughter moment.

Welp, it's been a while. Both kids were quite sick a few weeks back. Doctor visits, meds, nebulizers, humidifiers, the works. Asthma-related symptoms seem to be how our kids' illnesses manifest themselves. Both seem to be feeling AOK as of today so fingers crossed they stay that way!

Nate managed to cut 3 more teeth this past week (2 molars on top and 1 on bottom). He's such a trooper. I had no idea til I started randomly feeling around in his mouth. He has also turned a corner in terms of his overall temperament. He has started having little jealous episodes particularly when his big sis starts to move in on his territory (i.e. mom, dad or grammy). He has also started (on occasion) hitting and biting and throwing mini tantrums. Yay! Let the games begin! :)

Sophia continues to amaze and frustrate us all at the same time. She talks nonstop and has become more and more bossy in her old age. She is also very inquisitive and remembers EVERYTHING. She's outspoken about her love for us and her brother as well as her occasional (OK, more than occasional) disapproval of our rules/demands. She makes us laugh out loud daily and is a source of entertainment for all.

We are enjoying every day with our beautiful little ones and counting our blessings. Hope you are all well!
